Full article

The paper presents the methodical tools to estimate inequality of regional labor potential reproduction based on spatial disparities of population distribution. The authors hypothesize that intensifying agglomeration flows contribute greatly to concentration of population around big cities and encourage inequality of regional labor potential reproduction. The first part of the research presents the authors’ interpretation of labor potential and highlights the importance of its demographic component, which includes both natural reproduction, and migratory movement of population. The second part of the research proposes the methodical tools to estimate spatial disparities of regional labor potential reproduction. The authors display that concentration of population around big cities has been increasing during last 5 years. Moreover, governmental policy of agglomerations should enhance the concentration of population that is a crucial reason for strengthening spatial disparities of regional labor potential formation and realization. Thus, the regional executives need to pay great attention for this issue.

Keywords: inequality, population, labor potential, region, agglomeration, index of concentration.
