The article identifies the relationship of the digital economy and the economy of knowledge, identifies the need to assess the readiness of staff to accept the changes. An effective model for managing a digital enterprise – a self-learning organization. It also presents a methodology based on the interrelation of the peculiarities of the formation of a self-learning organization according to the forms of its development and the results of the assessment of the staff's readiness to accept the organizational changes necessary for this. The methodology takes into account the quality of personnel responsible for working with organizational knowledge, for their creation and dissemination, for self-development, for readiness for teamwork and group training. These personnel abilities are designated as disciplines of a self-learning organization. And in the course of applying the methodology, it becomes apparent that the staff is ready to further develop their abilities in all disciplines. It is also important that the developed methodology allows revealing those disciplines, the development of which is missed in the enterprise, which require additional attention and efforts for their formation. As a result of the research, a concrete and optimal form of a self-learning organization is determined, which can be successfully and quickly achieved by the enterprise. But for this, it is necessary to carry out certain activities aimed at unlocking the potential of the staff or at increasing its motivation to effect changes, depending on the results of the research. The article also deals with the practical application of the methodology for assessing the readiness of personnel to adopt the optimal form of a self-learning organization, and presents the results of testing in an industrial enterprise in the Kostroma region. The presented methodology, developed in the course of scientific research, is a convenient and simple tool for analyzing the current situation in an enterprise and for further planning its work in terms of knowledge management and the digital economy.
