Indigenous peoples of the north: dynamics of demographic indicators and features of reproduction

The paper reads examine a questions demographic develop native minorities peoples the North and the peculiarities reproductive process of the population of certain peoples in the temporal aspect. Marked problems of legal regulation and imperfection of the existing Federal legislation in relation the socio-economic and cultural development of indigenous peoples. A retrospective analysis of the comparable number of indigenous people in the period between the censuses of 1959 and 2010 was carried out the author suggests the gradation of the division of these peoples into three groups depending on the time of obtaining this status and the nine largest of them, which determine the demographic potential of the native minorities peoples of the North. An implement comparison exercise of the growth rates of large ethnic groups from the end of the Soviet period to 2010 is made. The detected role of the processes of assimilation, crossbreeding and urbanization in the reproduction of the indigenous population due to the industrial mastering of and non-indigenous settlement the territories of traditional residence and traditional economic activities of the indigenous peoples of the North by the revealed. Risks have been identified for a small-size people associated with the problem of their existence independent ethnic group. The features of the dynamics of demographic indicators on the example of different language families are shown. The sources of information were the data Federal, regional and municipal statistics, legal documents, domestic and foreign literary sources, Internet resources. Statistical and retrospective analyses were used as the main methods.
