The purpose of this work is to implement the assessment of the development of a regional forestry cluster. The study was carried out using the methods of economic analysis, observation, comparisons and interviewing. The results of the work showed that almost all elements inherent in the cluster structure are located in the territory of the Komi, which, interacting inside the timber-industrial cluster, can enhance each other and promote its competitiveness. The total number of cluster participants for the 4th quarter of 2020 amounted to 26 enterprises with an aggregate product shipped 791 million rubles. The basis for the promising development of the Woodworking Territorial Cluster of the Komi Republic Komi will be large enterprises of Komiliesholding cluster, IP White timber processing enterprises, “Lesszervispelus”, “StroyKomplektservis”, IP GITNEK M.M. Recycling of forest waste recycling in wood flour and other products, “Aqua Plus” production of prefabricated houses from plywood, “all for furniture” Production of wood plates based on non-toxic adhesive materials and wood waste. The implementation of projects by 2022 will create 83 new jobs in the Woodworking Cluster of the Re-public, 70 of which are high-performance, will provide an additional revenue in the amount of 517 million rubles and value added – 166 million rubles. For the successful implementation and development of a cluster program of small and medium-sized enterprises in the city of Syktyvkar and the general timber processing industry of the republic, the creation of the Center for Technology Transfer and supporting the implementation of innovative projects based on cooperation between government departments and research organizations is appropriate. Its foundation can be the “Center for Cluster Development”, the Structural Unit of Anno “Center for Entrepreneurship Development”. Directions for future research are related to the assessment of key factors in the growth efficiency of the forestry cluster in the Komi Republic. The results of the study have important practical value for the management of the development of timber efficiency of the forestry complex in the region.
